Project Description

  • WEF Volunteer Experience
  • WEF Volunteer Experience

The WEF ENVIRO-Hero Volunteer Program is a unique and educational Wildlife Documentary Filming Project and Introduction to Wildlife Volunteering in Africa.
Participants will be introduced to Southern Africa’s unique wildlife and  biodiversity through a series of exciting and educational safaris/tours, a variety of special Wildlife / Nature Courses and a wide spectrum of Wildlife and Conservation Projects at various nature destinations – all while assisting in the filming of a new Wildlife Documentary/DVD Series, aiming at increased long-term global Wildlife Knowledge and Conservation Awareness.

Any person older than 18 years may apply for the WEF ENVIRO-HERO Volunteer Program.
Those younger than 18 years may join as a Junior ENVIRO-Hero (Junior WEF Volunteers).
A specific qualification in nature conservation is not a prerequisite to join the WEF ENVIRO-Hero Volunteers Project as the program itself will equip you with LOTS of wildlife and nature knowledge and skills.
Volunteers are however, required to be healthy & physically fit and able to endure occasional long hours of wildlife filming in the heat of the African sun.
The most important qualification remains enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute positively towards CONSERVATION through EDUCATION – making our planet a better place for all living creatures.
To become a WEF ENVIRO-HeroVolunteers, an online application form must be completed, and submitted to the WEF’s Executive Committee. International applicants can apply via a Volunteer agency (list will be added soon) or contact us directly via our Online Volunteer Inquiry Form (CLICK HERE).
The application form (CLICK HERE) highlights the applicant’s skills, experience and reason(s) for applying. A passion, love for and dedication to nature, the environment, conservation, sustainable development (“green living”) and wildlife  are always a plus.
